APPLICATION PROCESS All potential Bauen Campers need to use the following as a check off list for their application process:

The Bauen Camp is dedicated to creating an environment for creative experiences. In order to bring a diverse group of youth together to help create this experience, we ask you to tell us about yourself and why you want to be a part of the 2008 Bauen Camps. Please enclose a 250 word typewritten essay with your application and deposit. You can view sample essays here. Letter of Recommendation. Teachers, counselors, artists, youth development professional, heads of corporations and ministers can provide letters of recommendation to nominate the potential Bauen campers. Sample of Creative Expression. Please send in an example of your creative expression. This could include: a photocopy/photograph of a painting, a photograph, a poem, a story, a cd or dvd of a performance or showing, etc. If you are unsure of what to send, please call 1.307.655.9760. Parent Health forms & Doctors forms are due after the student has been accepted, and should be received at least two weeks prior to arrival. New standards require that students and staff must have had a physical examination by a licensed medical doctor within 12 months of attending the camp (not 24). In special circumstances, 6 months prior to arrival may apply. Medication Forms provide detailed information about any campers prescribed or over-the-counter medication. They are due upon arrival at camp. Parent health forms here. Doctors health form (must be filled out by liscenced physician). Medication forms here. Fees & Financial Aid. The fee for each camper session is $1800. A non-refundable $200 deposit is due with your application and goes towards the overall fee. The remainder of the fee is due on June 5, 2008 for Session 1 and June 15, 2008 for Session 2. Nominating organizations are asked to contribute $200. In addition, financial aid is possible for a select number of campers and based on a sliding fee scale. Payment plans are available as well. Fees do not include travel to or from camp.
