KENT G. DRUMMOND, PhD, Chairman

University of Wyoming, Dept of Management and Marketing,
Associate Professor, Communication and Mass Media, UW, Laramie, WY, 1996 to
present. Previously Marketing Manager for Pacific Bell, San Francisco and territory
Manager for Elizabeth Arden, NYC.  PhD, Speech Communication, U of Texas,
Austin; MBA, Marketing, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL; BA English
Literature, Stanford.  Published extensively. Voted Mortar Board Top Professor in
2002, 2003, 2004, and most often cited favorite professor in College of A&S. 
Advises undergrad and graduate students.  McNair Scholar Mentor, Interview Coach
for Rhodes and Truman Scholars, and on the Board of Directors of Cathedral Home
for Children, Laramie, and Uniwyo Credit Union. Lives  in Laramie with his wife, a
UW English Literature Professor, and two young sons.

RICHARD GEER, PhD, Program Vice-Chair

Community Performance, Inc. Founder & Director.
Director and producer of community performance, advocate for use of story and performance in community animation; Artistic Director,
Swamp Gravy, with  CPI partner Jules Corriere, community performance project in
Colquitt, GA.   President and Founder of Community Performance, Inc., which promotes
theater  of, by and for community, to empower individuals and bring neighborhoods
together. Former theater director and teacher at Stephens Perry Mansfield Camp,
Steamboat Springs, CO and at the National Music Camp,  Interlochen, MI.  PhD,
Performance Studies, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL   Bauen Session Director 2003,
2005,  2006, 2007.  Bauen Staff Orientation facilitator, 2005, 2006.   Richard is an expert and
tireless voice for Bauen. He lives in Denver with his wife, Adrian.

Appeals.  Trustee for the Doubleday Trust.  Member, Board of Directors,
Downtown Sheridan Association and Wyoming Wilderness Association. Married
to Sean Butler Weber, who spent her growing up summers on a Pass Creek ranch. 

BESS FREDLUND, SECRETARY

MA Dance, California Institute of the Arts; BFA, Dance/Theater, University of
Montana, Missoula.  Creates, develops, markets and facilitates all ABT educational
programs. Co-founder  danceMontana, a repertory dance company; former owner
and artistic director for the House, a performance space featuring dance, theater,
music and performance art and director of her modern dance company, Bess Snyder
and Company. Recipient of fellowships from the Montana Arts Council and
Distinguished Alumni Award from Cal Arts. Under Bess’s leadership, Alberta Bair
Theater has selected  and funded outstanding Billings area Bauen campers the last
three summers. To date, Bess wins  the prizes for bringing ‘the most folks’ to our
summer time Bauen Camp presentations.

CEDRIC BLACK EAGLE, Member at Large

Co-Chrm, Indian Civil Rights Conference Comm. 2007.  Chrm of Crow Tribes Water
Rights Compact for MT and federal negotiations. Worked with race discrimination in rental housing, home mortgage financing and home insurance. Member of MT/WY Tribal Leaders, The Council of Large Land Based Tribes, and the National Congress of the American Indian. Participant in Crow Tribe government issues since 1984. 1993-1996, Exec. Director of Crow Tribal Housing Authority. Attended Little Big Horn College1990-1994, Business Administration Courses. Commercial Journeyman Electrician. Cedric lives in Crow Agency, MT with his family.

BRIAN GRANDISON, Member at Large

Actor, Director, Writer and Educator for 20 years. Founded Avant Garde, a student-led acting company that writes, performs and tours its original plays to students in elementary and middle schools in eastern Minnesota. The plays address social issues.  The Great American History Theatre in St. Paul commissioned Brian’s  most recent play, “Adrift on the Mississippi.” His play, “The Tuskegee Airmen” was also produced by this theater.  As an actor, Brian has acted with the Guthrie Theater . MN,  the Brooklyn Academy of Music, NYC;  the Goodman Theater, Chicago and the Mark Taper Forum, CA.  As an educator he has taught in many schools in Minnesota and has led master classes for high schools and colleges through the USA. For the last four summers he has produced original plays with students from the Plymouth Christian Youth Center. Brian holds an MFA degree from the University of Georgia.  2007 Bauen Camp co-Director Session One.

WILLIAM MORIN, Member at Large

CEO, Founder, WJM Associates;
Recognized world leader in human resources consulting industry. Former CEO and Chairman of Drake Beam Morin, Inc. an international career continuation and organizational consulting firm.  Founder of 
the new Montana Leadership Institute, Bozeman, MT, focused on cultivating top
talent, particularly women in management. Author and co-author of 17 books and
many articles addressing successful staff reductions, corporate trust, job search
techniques, coping with job loss and corporate revitalization. MS, Business
Education, Southern Illinois University.  Bill lives in New York and has a ranch
near Bozeman, MT. He is on the Board of Directors of the Museum of the Rockies.

TOM MOORE, Member at Large

Director, 2005 to present, American Youth Foundation’s Camp Miniwanca,
Shelby, MI. National Director of Conservation Corps, The Student Conservation
Association (SCA), Charlestown, NH 2002-2005, Director of Special Projects, SCA,
1995-2002. Director of Outdoor Education, St. Michael’s, Melbourne, AU, 1988-1992.
Tom has worked in the field of youth development and education for the past 22
years. A native Australian, Tom graduated in 1985 from the University of South
Australia, B Ed and is certified to teach nordic skiing, whitewater kayaking, and flat-
water canoeing. Tom lives in Whitehall, MI with wife Melissa, daughter of Camp
Director Jessica Holt, and three young children.

VICTOR  OCHOA, Member at Large
Internationally recognized Chicano mural artist.  Co-Founder of Chicano Park, San
Diego, CA. Founder of Centro Cultural de la Raza, a multi-disciplinary cultural center.
Co-Founder of The Border Art Workshop.  Teacher, Grossmont College, CA     BA,
Fine Arts, USD.  Bauen Camp Session Director/Guest Artist 2001 and 2006. 
Recently honored in San Diego, star of “The Voice of Change” tribute in which a
film documentary of Victor’s life and work was presented to the Central San Diego
Library downtown. “His ability to integrate his work as a community activist and an
artist brings new meaning to the community leader role.” Victor lives with his
daughter in San Diego.

RUTHANNE REICHERT TAYLOR, DNP, Member at Large

Ruthanne has been involved in camping since 1971, as a counselor and then an
RN at Phantom Lake YMCA Camp in WI.  She is a board certified Family Nurse
Practitioner and a former diplomat and medical attaché to Siberia, Chad and Nepal.
In 2007 she was the recipient of a Superior Honor Award from the US Department of
State.  Ruthanne is a former assistant clinical professor at Yale University School of
Nursing and a former Program Director of Air Idaho Rescue. She has been a
professional figure skater since 1977, rated by the Professional Figure Skaters
Association in freestyle, group and moves in the field. She is an international figure
skating judge. Ruthanne has been a Wyoming resident and supporter of Wyoming
arts since 1983. Currently, she is a docent at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in
Jackson. She received her BS, MS and Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Rush
University in Chicago.

Taught in Vermont College MFA Programs.  Fellowship Recipient: the Wyoming Arts Council Individual Artist Grant, Visual Art Fellowship, Underserved ProjectGrant. Artist-in-Residence: Banff Center for the Arts, Canada; Straumur Art Center, Iceland; Civitella Ranieri Center, Italy. Founded the Bauen Camp in 1999. MFA Painting, UI Chicago, 1988; MA Philosophy, 2000 CSU Fort Collins,  BS Business, 1957 UC Boulder, CO. Jessica lives at her home on Pass Creek year-round, sharing the summer time camp grounds with elk, deer, porcupines, possum,  coyote and an occasional mountain lion.  Willie, Harriet, Heloise and Annie, dogs all, keep her company.
