Daily Schedule

     Imagine having access to printmaking tools, paints and charcoal, a Zuni ceramic kilm, a library of art books and the wide open space of Wyoming Big Horn Mountains to put all your ideas into motion. With the help of professional artists and staff and your fellow campers at Bauen, you will not only improve your current artistic skills, but learn about all mediums of art and all peoples of the world.

Campfire.. Every evening ends under the stars, around the campfire, sharing songs, stories, jokes and little bit of yourself with your new friends.

     Campers will participate together in the instruction workshops of the early days of camp. Later, campers will have the opportunity to select areas of focus. Instruction will be offered in the following areas:


Creative Writing: poetry, playwrighting, personal essays
Visual Art: painting, drawing, installation art, puppetry, ceramics,
filmmaking and photography.
Performance: creative movement, theater, storytelling, song
Interpersonal & Group Communications: critical thinking, group
facilitation, community-building
The Natural World: astronomy, geology, outdoor living skills,
environmental education
